Privacy policy
Updated 23 October 2026
SiteAsaan keeps the attendance and pay records of building sites. The app shows the short version of this policy, below. The rest of the page is the detail.
What SiteAsaan holds
Names and phone numbers, the sites people work on, the days they were marked, and what they were paid. For owners, supervisors and thekedars, also when a plan limit is reached and which plan and record screens they open, to set fair prices. Never which worker.
Who can see it
The company that added you, the supervisor of your site, and you. A thekedar sees totals for the men he supplies, never their days.
People who never signed up
Most workers are added by their supervisor. Their records are kept for the company that pays them and are not used for anything else.
Deleting your account
From Profile, or at siteasaan.app/delete. Your name comes off the records within 30 days.
Contact
Who we are
SiteAsaan (“we”) makes the SiteAsaan app and runs the servers it uses. Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
What we hold, and where it comes from
Your account. Your name and phone number, the company you belong to and your role in it, and your password, which our sign-in service stores only as a one-way hash. If you choose to add an email address, it is used only to help you back into your account.
Work records. A company's sites, the people on them and their trades, each day's attendance, overtime and hours, rates, advances, payments and pay periods, site expenses, money from clients and bills to them, and thekedars' gangs and bills. Most of this is entered by owners and supervisors, not by the person it is about.
Contacts on your phone. When you add a worker or supervisor from your contacts, the app reads the address book on the phone to show you the list. Only the name and number you pick are saved to SiteAsaan. The rest of your contacts never leave the phone.
Plans and purchases. Which plan a company is on, and until when. When an owner buys Pro, Google Play takes the payment; we receive Google's record of the subscription (its purchase token, plan, state and renewal dates) so the company's plan can follow it. We never see card or wallet details.
Moments that set prices. For owners, supervisors and thekedars: when a plan limit is reached, and which plan and record screens they open. Never which worker.
Sign-in sessions. Our sign-in service keeps a record of each phone signed in to your account and when it was last used, with the network address and app details the phone sent. Profile → Your data and safety shows how many phones you are signed in on, and signs the others out.
On your phone. The app keeps a copy of your company's records on the phone so it works without signal. The copy is kept in the app's own storage, left out of phone backups, and removed when you sign out, unless marks are still waiting to send; those keep it until they have gone. App lock's PIN and fingerprint stay on the phone; we never receive them.
What we don't collect. No location, photos or recordings, no advertising ID, and no analytics or crash-reporting services.
Why we use it
- To run the app: record attendance, work out pay, keep the records a company relies on, and show each person only what they may see.
- To keep accounts and companies safe: sign-in, sessions, app lock, and keeping one company's records from another.
- To run Pro: apply a subscription to the company that bought it.
- To set fair prices, from the moments above, looked at in total.
We don't sell personal data, use it for advertising, or pass it to data brokers.
Who can see it
The company that added you, the supervisor of your site, and you. A thekedar sees totals for the men he supplies, never their days. If you work for two companies, each sees only what happens on its own sites.
SiteAsaan's staff open your records only when you ask us for help, or when the law requires it.
Who handles it for us
- Supabase runs our database, sign-in and servers.
- Google distributes the app through Google Play and takes payments for Pro.
They handle data on our instructions and under their own security and privacy terms.
How it is protected
- Kept on servers in Mumbai, encrypted, and backed up every day.
- Everything between the app and our servers travels encrypted.
- Every read and write is checked on the server against your company and your role.
- Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes.
- A payment is never edited. It can only be voided, with a reason, and the void shows who did it.
- App lock can ask for a PIN or fingerprint before the app opens.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep a company's records while it uses SiteAsaan, because pay records are how a dispute is settled.
Deleting your account: in the app, Profile → Your data and safety → Delete account, or see siteasaan.app/delete. After 30 days your name, phone number and password are removed; signing in before then cancels it. The attendance and pay records for days already worked stay with the company, with your name taken off.
An owner deleting their account removes the company with it: its sites, its people and every record, after the same 30 days.
Copies in our provider's backups are overwritten as the backups roll over.
Your choices
- See your own record in the app at any time.
- Export: an owner can export everything the company holds, free, and anyone can export their own record.
- Correct a mistake: ask your supervisor or the owner. A wrong amount is struck and replaced, so the history stays.
- Delete your account, or write to us.
Children
SiteAsaan is a work tool for businesses and the adults who work for them. It is not meant for children.
Changes
When we change how we handle data, we update this page and its date, and say so in the app when the change matters to you.
